GK Power in a Twin Pedal Stompbox
With the all-new V-Guitar pedals, guitarists can now enjoy the immense benefits of Roland’s GK processing-the powerful technology behind the GR-55 Guitar Synthesizer and VG-99 V-Guitar System-right on their pedalboards. The GR-D V-Guitar Distortion offers unique distortion and synth tones produced by independently processing each guitar string, giving the modern player an array of fresh, bold sounds for their sonic arsenal. Housed in the popular Twin Pedal format and equipped with connections for easy integration with amps, stomps, multi-effects, and other V-Guitar devices, the GR-D delivers wide, heavy, high-clarity tones that can only be achieved with GK processing.

The Roland GR-D V-Guitar Distortion is a powerful stompbox designed to integrate seamlessly with Roland's V-Guitar family. It utilizes 13-pin GK processing to offer unique distortion effects for each string, something impossible with standard guitar pickups. This polyphonic processing eliminates atonal distortion artifacts, resulting in clearer, more defined sounds, even with complex chords or high gain. It features different distortion flavors, including VG-DIST 1, VG-DIST 2, POLY DIST, and SYNTH for diverse tonal possibilities.
The GR-D also allows players to tweak and store custom sounds using its simple, intuitive controls and has four memory locations for sound storage. It includes a Solo function for quick volume boosts, ideal for lead playing. For integration, it provides a variety of connection options, including a dual MIX/GUITAR input and 13-pin GK output, making it compatible with other V-Guitar devices, amps, and effect chains.
The GR-D works with Roland's GC-1 GK-Ready Stratocaster and GK-3 Divided Pickup , as well as other compatible guitars. This setup opens up a broad range of sonic possibilities, providing unparalleled flexibility for modern guitarists.
