This series offers a minor sixth per inch of pedal movement, enabling a wide pitch range. The hammered bowls in this series come with a squared or cambered shape, which enhances volume, decay, and mallet response. The machine-hammered bowls bring out the best qualities of copper, such as depth of tone and playability. The Pedal Adjustment Clutch (PAC) System allows the pedal resistance to be adjusted while maintaining perfect balance. A large knob ensures easy adjustment. Large main casters are complemented by a third caster under the pedal, allowing smooth and easy movement of the instrument. A caster lock ensures the drum stays in place once it is set up. Setup and Performance The timpani in this series are easily height-adjustable over a 25mm range, allowing for precise adjustments to both the instrument height and head angle. They can be ideally positioned for either standing or seated playing on any stage. A large pedal makes pitch adjustments easier. The tuning indicator can be repositioned to accommodate either German or American setups. A tuning key/wrench holder is attached on the side opposite the tuning gauge. Yamaha Remo Renaissance heads with aluminum insert rings provide outstanding expression with stable pitch.
